  1. Please note the FC Glossary of new terms ended with Week 4 and Week 6 article, "Why it Works" by Deb Kidwell is the last article for FC. There are some VERY personal videos on Week 6, 'magic' of TC, it IS the pivotal shift as the dog comes to 'believe' that obedience IS THE ONLY WAY. The TC work isn't just 'magic', it is a belief system inside the dog's mind that CAN and WILL save the dog's life. It is remarkable how much it changes a dog's mindset towards obedience - forever. The TC work is 50% of the work with her this week.

Please note, Piper was D.O.N.E. so we did not teach the Active Sit. But the videos are uploaded and the instructions so you can follow and duplicate.

AGAIN, hearty congratulations on overcoming a MAJOR breakdown this week, being coachable in the midst of that meltdown, hearing what was carefully shared and choosing to 'stick to KMODT so as not to disappoint my dog.' YOU, Kellie, just had a lifestyle breakthrough in discipline, commitment, and self-control. So, yes, Piper gets to go on and learn because she craves the learning, the challenge and the mental work. But you, Kellie, choose to go forward in the face of 'it's to hard and I need to quit'. You did NOT quit, you persevered, and you experienced victory.

So, who needs KMODT the most, Piper or you? For me, KMODT was MY training ground as God had to send me to remedial dog training to learn some tough life lessons. I am a MUCH better human being, a MUCH more cognizant and deliberate Christian BECAUSE of this training. It's about relationships, about teamwork, about learning to really SEE my dog and ask, "What is working?" What isn't working?" Why isn't it working, what did I do or fail to do to help my dog understand and succeed?" It's about learning to walk a straight line, to SEE what is happening and what isn't happening and to coach an owner forward in the face of their breakdown (there are MANY breakdowns before there are breakthroughs). Ultimately, KMODT is about Scriptural principles taught so the owner, the owner sees themself (dogs are mirrors of their owner/handler), and the owner becomes BETTER so their dog does better. Best way to learn self-control, discipline, and patience is to stay in the KMODT training arena.

Just funny that God had to send me to remedial dog training to be able to really see myself. And odd as I choose to allow God to reshape me so I could then shape others into experiencing their own inner reality at a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. I'm very clear my business success here in Sevier Valley is because God wants me to coach students, those open to coaching and learning, in HIS Word, His WAY, through the application of KMODT principles. God sure has a funny way of training, doesn't He?

Love you, Kellie. SO, so proud of your perseverance. This past week was for your good and God's Glory.

    Roxanne
