1-22-24 FC Week 1 LL Lesson in open field with HUGE distraction

  1. There is a world of education in these 4 videos. There are a couple of key points for you Kellie, to consider.

    * The point of distractions, especially distractions your dog finds irresistible, is the learning dog discovers that, NO MATTER WHAT, their comfort is established when they choose to pay attention to their handler.
    * Dogs DO THINK bad thoughts and the competent/confident handler (which you will be) learns to read the dogs thoughts or intentions and head them off before they are fullfilled.
    * The point of good LL work is the dog learns to CHOOSE that remaining close to their handler is THE WISE choice.

All in all, an excellent FC Week 1 Lesson.
