HOMEWORK Week 3: Leash position makes ALL the difference (Nava as the distraction dog from long, long ago)

Here Marlow is being required to hold a position as she is THE distraction to the other dogs doing retrieves towards her. Pretty interesting, huh?

Look at Marlowe's gorgeous eye contact as Nave works close to her off leash.

Notice the leash position below my left knee

clearly telling Marlowe which way to go.

Here Marlowe is too far to my left

and a tiny leash correction helps her position correctly.

The leash is doing the communicating to Marlow

Here's a LOVELY Right About Turn..notice the leash again

is providing clear communication to Marlowe.

Notice my right arm is hanging normally by my side.

Here you can see Marlowe is out of heel position so the leash ...

hitting below my left knee gives her a collar correction as well as providing her a direction..

so she can hurry up with me.  All of this occurs because the leash position is correct.
