FC Week 6 EXAM(s) - the Effects of TC work

Week 6 EXAM(s)

Work your dog against the 3 primary drives of Social (family, a pack, etc), prey (food, etc., ) and defense (home or persons).

So, for this Week 6 Test, you are to video a total of 6 Recalls, using the rules you have been taught (in a whisper of "Fido, Come").  You may submit more than 1 video as you can't do these 6 Recalls in one training session.

The point of this EXAM is not to show me you using the TC, the point of this EXAM is for me to see your dog's Recalls, against distractions, and hopefully, no TC is needed.

Against food (Social drive)

Against fowl wings - dead of course and dried out, but still smelling intriguing (Prey Drive)

Against food + multiple fowl wings (Social & Prey Drive)

 Redd's Week 6 EXAM videos

Redd reminds me SO much of training Leenie (one of Deb's pups) last summer for her owner, Jake Franz.  When I'd go to Frank's Produce to get Leenie who was kenneled until I arrived, Leenie was ecstatic like, "OH MISS ROXANNE is here!  Yeah, time to go work." And work we did. We played too!

"Wait...sure I can't move?"

"BUT, there is a CHILD back there..I LOVE children!"

"Are we done yet?"

"Wake me when it's time to heel?"

"WHAT? More photos?"

"This is easy!"

"Of course I can do 'Place" with people and carts coming/going and going/coming all the time around here."

Quiet Time is getting easy for Leenie

"BUT, it's a free strawberry! And chili beans too!"

"Ah, I get it now. Food on the ground or at nose level is a setup to test my understanding that 'Stay means Stay.' Got it!"
And Leenie learned to go have fun time to with my Pack and great students like Stephanie and Maggie too!

THE END!

BUT, Week 6 arrived and I used TC on Leenie and she was so hesitant after that initial episode. Mind you, I only used TC a total of 4 times, and she nearly quit on me.  But I never had to use them again and her Recall was/is stellar. She TOTALLY believed me. Redd reminds me of Leenie in that once or twice with TC's and her Recall is PRONTO and IMMEDIATE.

So here are her 9 EXAM(s) from today. We worked against Social, Prey and Defense scenarios.

Have fun with this test.
